For a six-month period, the fund will be exclusively open to clients of the private banking and wealth business in Asia, Middle East and Europe.
Schroders has
launched a new multi-asset income fund that the UK-listed
business is making exclusively available to HSBC Global Private
Banking and Wealth clients for six months.
Clients of HSBC in Asia,
Europe, and the Middle East will have access to the fund,
Schroders said in a statement.
The fund manager is bringing out the offering for clients trying
to navigate a “new era of high inflation and interest
rates,” the firm said. The portfolio is called Schroder
ISF Dynamic Income. It will be able to hold equities, fixed
income, and alternative investments such as
convertible bonds, securitised debt, insurance-linked
securities, and emerging market debt. It also incorporates
environmental and/or social themes.
Managing the fund is Remi Olu-Pitan, Schroders’ head of
multi-asset growth and income, and Dorian Carrell, head of
multi-asset income.
“What has worked over the past decade may not work in the next
decade for investors in search of income and capital growth. In a
world of elevated inflation and interest rates, investors'
capital needs to work harder,” Peter Harrison, group chief
executive of Schroders, said.
Schroders has been partnering with HSBC to distribute its funds
for some time. In September 2022, for example, Schroders launched
a fund in Singapore to invest in firms involved in sustainable
provision of food and water: The Schroder ISF Global Sustainable
Food and Water Fund.
