Standard Life Wealth Hires Lloyds Team For Growth Push

UK-based discretionary investment manager Standard Life Wealth has recruited a nine-strong team from Lloyds Private Bank to drive business growth over the next 12 - 18 months.

The team joins Standard Life Wealth this month and will be mainly based in London, with responsibilities for certain regions in the UK as well.

David Driver has been appointed network director; David Bright, Stuart Jones, Peter Balderstone and Eileen McCarthy will be senior client portfolio managers; Tony Emmings joins as a client portfolio manager, and Joanne Baker, Darren MacBay and Michelle Ramsay have been made client portfolio manager assistants at the firm.

“The development of our business through this expansion will provide the capacity to meet current business flows and create the resource to incrementally grow the business over the coming months and years,” said Richard Charnock, Standard Life Wealth’s chief executive.

Standard Life Wealth is a subsidiary of Edinburgh-based Standard Life; the group as whole recorded net inflows last year of £2.1 billion and assets under management of £181.5 billion.
