Texas WM firm adds real-estate consulting services

Arey joins virtus as business developer and residential real-estate advisor. Southlake, Texas-based Virtus Wealth Management has put former Re-Max real-estate agent Amy Arey in charge of business development with additional responsibilities as the firm's residential real-estate consultant.
"We are excited to add another service to offer our clients, especially with the background and knowledge [Arey] brings to the team," Virtus' president and senior wealth manager Brian Tillotson says of Arey's role as the firm's first real-estate consultant. "We pride ourselves in helping our clients in many aspects of their wealth, and the addition of [Arey] will greatly benefit our clients."
Merger
Though Virtus marks Arey's first foray into wealth management, she comes to the firm with eight years experience in residential real estate and property management, with an emphasis on multi-family units.
"I am very excited to merge the two backgrounds to truly bring our clients an all encompassing experience in wealth and financial planning," says Arey. "I look forward to bringing our clients another service from a team dedicated to [clients'] personal goals and interests."
Eight-year old Virtus provides advice around taxes, investments, insurance, estate planning, pensions, rollover and retirement planning, capital-needs analysis, business-succession planning, asset management, and general financial advice. The firm manages $28 million on 17 February 2009 for clients in Texas, Colorado, Florida, Alabama, Maryland, and Arizona. -FWR
