Trusco names Ashi Parikh head of equity investments

Ex-Eagle Asset unit CIO to lead SunTrust affiliate's stock investing. Asset manager Trusco Capital Management has named Ashi Parikh as its new CIO for equities.

"Under Ashi's leadership, we are confident the equity team and our clients will benefit from his experience and track record of generating exceptional investment performance," says David Eidson, chairman and CEO of Trusco.

Parikh previously worked as CIO for Eagle Institutional Growth Advisors, part of in St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Eagle Asset Management. There his responsibilities included investment strategy, portfolio management and client development. Earlier in his 15-year career, he led Banc One's growth equity team. (Bank One is now part of Chase.)

At Trusco, Parikh will work with a team of about 50 investment professionals to oversee a stock business with over $18 billion in managed assets.

Atlanta-based Trusco, a subsidiary of SunTrust Banks, customizes investments for institutions and high-net-worth individuals. The firm also serves as investment advisor to the STI Classic mutual fund family. -FWR
