UK accountants Grant Thornton have poached Darrel Poletyllo from Edinburgh-based rivals Chiene & Tait, to head up their Private Client Services offering in Scotland. Mr Poletyllo, formerly managing director of Chiene & Tait Financial Services joins Grant Thornton as a director and will be supported by newly appointed private client managers Gill Hunter and Laura Dunnigan, and private client executive, Sharon Gilmour. Andrew Godfrey, managing partner at Grant Thornton Scotland, said the firm has identified private client services as a growing sector.
