Wealth-X Launches Online Access Platform To The Super Rich

Wealth management platform developer Wealth-X has launched a new online tool that provides information on the world's ultra high net worth individuals.

The new tool, available only to its members, provides curated intelligence on thousands of UHNW individuals, including those in the US, China, India, and Singapore. Included in the profiles are the individuals' net worth, liquidity, passions, hobbies, philanthropic tendencies, political affiliations, known associates, and service providers.

"Personal connections are essential to closing business, making a member's ability to identify prospects tied to their own existing relationships and interests paramount to growing their books of business," Mykolas Rambus, the chief executive of Wealth-X, said in a statement.

Trust is a key issue among investors, particularly as the events of the financial crisis have given rise to a certain degree of mistrust of the wealth management industry. Arguably, the ability to connect with clients on a more personal level is conducive to rebuilding clients' faith in their providers.

"Having a deep understanding of an ultra high net worth individual's passions and hobbies, wealth allocation and family structure can mean the difference between landing new clients and losing them to a competitor," said David Friedman, the firm's executive vice president for strategy.

Wealth-X has two member-only offerings: an online research tool and on-demand dossiers.
