Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network Names MD For Innovation, Growth Team

Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network, the independent brokerage arm of Wells Fargo, has named Rick Calhoun as managing director of the firm’s innovation and growth team.

The New York-listed firm said Calhoun will represent the independent brokerage and its practices as regards corporate strategies. He will focus on driving growth and developing practice management strategies across the business.

Calhoun joined Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network in 2008 and was most recently the northeast regional director for the branch development group. In that role, he garnered some $48 million in new advisor revenue and also consulted around 100 practices on areas including business management and succession planning.

Overall, he has some 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, during which time he has held leadership roles at Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch.

In his new position, Calhoun will report to Kent Christian, president of Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network.
