Wells Fargo Hires Private Banking Luminary As Regional Manager

Wells Fargo has appointed Tom Goode as a regional private banking manager after his having spent just four month as a private banker at Richmond, Virginia-based First Market Bank, according to local media.
In his new role at Wells Fargo Mr Goode assumes responsibility for all of Virginia except the northernmost part of the state, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.
According to the publication Mr Goode is best known as a former regional president at Bank of America, having been employed by BoA and its predecessor banks for some 30 years. He left BoA when its wealth management operations were transferred to Merrill Lynch, which it acquired at the start of this year.
In other recent hires, news emerged in August that Wells Fargo Advisors had lifted an international banking team out of Citigroup in New York. The ex-Citi team, led by financial advisor Pedro Nieves, reportedly managed around $345 million in client assets.
Wells Fargo Advisors is the brand San Francisco-based Wells Fargo gave the combination of Wachovia Securities and its legacy brokerage Wells Fargo Investments after acquiring Charlotte, North Carolina-based Wachovia last year.
