Wittmer has appointed LaĂŻla Rochat (pictured) as a partner,
with immediate effect.
Rochat (pictured) is a Swiss-certified tax expert and accomplished attorney-at-law. Rochat is a new partner at the Geneva-based firm.
The firm said Rochat's expertise in Swiss and international tax law allows her to advise on a wide range of matters, including complex transactions, restructurings, tax disputes, intricate financing structures, and corporate tax planning. Rochat also provides tailored guidance on tax and estate planning for private clients.
“Laïla’s appointment reinforces Schellenberg Wittmer’s commitment to top-tier tax services and further solidifies our position in Swiss and international tax law,” Pascal Hubli, managing partner said.
Schellenberg Wittmer has more than 150 lawyers in Zurich, Geneva, and Singapore.
LGT Wealth Management,
UK-based LGT Wealth
Management, has appointed of Chris Golding as investment
manager in its Jersey Office. He joins after spending nine
years at Evelyn Partners International, where he most recently
served as head of investments, overseeing investment strategy and
the management of client assets. Prior to that, he was a senior
investment manager at Barclays Private Bank & Trust, Jersey.
Golding, who will be drawing on decades of experience managing complex investment portfolios, will work in partnership with advisors to provide investment solutions across international markets.
His appointment comes during a year of milestones for LGT Wealth Management’s international advisor proposition; it is celebrating one year of Volare International, a range of Dublin domiciled multi-asset funds; five years of the International Sustainable Model Portfolio Service; and 10 years of the International Model Portfolio Service.

Vontobel
Vontobel has stated
that Dr Zeno Staub, a long-standing former CEO at the
firm, is to be nominated for election to the board of
directors at the Ordinary General Meeting of shareholders of
Vontobel Holding AG on 2 April 2025.
Bruno Basler has decided not to stand for re-election after 20 years of dedicated service.
Dr Staub, who is “deeply familiar with Vontobel’s business,” has played a key role in shaping the company’s growth and strategy for more than two decades, the firm said in a statement. He served as CEO of Vontobel from 2011 to 2023 – previously he had been a member of the executive committee in leadership roles across the organisation.
Dr Staub holds board and advisory roles, including designated president of the University Council at the University of St Gallen, board member at BĂĽhler Group, and chairman at Climate X and WorldReplica. He earned his PhD (Dr oec. HSG) and degree in economics from the University of St Gallen.
“The composition of our board of directors has important influence on our long-term success and is crucial in delivering on our long-term strategy. Zeno Staub’s leadership experience and strategic insight will be valuable as we continue to navigate an evolving landscape,” Andreas Utermann, chairman, said.
The board of directors of Vontobel thanked Basler for his constribution to the business. “His contributions have helped to shape the company’s direction, and we are grateful for his leadership and counsel,” Utermann concluded.
The above changes are subject to regulatory approval.

Law, an employment and regulatory specialist law firm,
has recruited John Milner, partner, to join its regulatory
team.
The firm now has 16 partners overall and a total of 22
fee-earning staff.
Prior to this, Milner worked at IBB Law where he headed the
business crime and fraud team of the Southeast regional practice
in the UK. He has a further 12 years’ experience in the London
market at a law firm prior to that.
Milner specialises in representing individuals in white collar
crime investigations, either as a witness or suspect and
principally in relation to business crime matters
– financial crime, fraud, tax evasion, bribery and
corruption, insider dealing and money laundering.
