American Century Appoints VP For Hong Kong Office

American Century Investments, the US-based asset management firm, has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Trinh as vice president of its Hong Kong office.

Ms Trinh was previously an associate manager at Macquarie Bank in Australia, where she held responsibility for the business development of the Macquarie Professional Series suite of funds. In her new role, she will be focusing on the Australian and South Asian institutional markets. She reports directly to the company's Asia Pacific business head Tony Archer.

"Elizabeth's arrival will cement American Century Investments’ commitment to the Asia Pacific region. Her experience of the Australian fund marketplace provides a valuable addition to our existing sales team and her focus on Australia and South Asia will perfectly complement Miranda Poon's work in the Greater China region," said Mr Archer in a statement Monday. "

"With experts focused on each of the key markets in the Asia Pacific region, we are in a better position than ever to continue growth levels," he added.

American Century Investments specialises in actively managed equity strategies and has $85.8 billion in assets under management as of 31 December 2009. It opened its Hong Kong office in May 2009.
