Brewin Dolphin "Tidies Up" Number Of Regional Offices

Brewin Dolphin has confirmed that it is merging its Bradford and Leeds offices, effective from around the beginning of January.
A spokesperson said existing Bradford-based staff and clients will fold into the Leeds office. Meanwhile, in Scotland the Elgin office in Moray has relocated to Inverness, while the Dumfries branch has moved to Penrith.
The UK-listed wealth management firm said the moves are part of a nationwide "tidy up" and that there there are no significant changes anticipated beyond that.
In May Brewins opened a new office in Ipswich, bringing its total number of branches to 42. In more recent news, at the start of December it reported that pre-tax income surged by over a third and assets under management rose in the third quarter of this year from the same period in 2011.
The firm said also said in its earnings release that Robin Bayford will retire as group finance director at the end of 2012, rounding out a career with the firm that has spanned almost 25 years. Andrew Westenberger, who joined in September, takes on the vacated role in January.
