City Financial Makes Another Senior Hire

London-based independent fund manager City Financial is continuing its series of hires with the appointment of Lalit Aggarwal to its board of directors.

London-based independent fund manager City Financial is continuing its series of hires with the appointment of Lalit Aggarwal to its board of directors.

Aggarwal joins the firm as non-executive director alongside David Beatty, Jack Hollihan and Michael Stein, as well as chairman Rob Hain and chief executive Andrew Williams.

Aggarwal is president and chairman of the investment committee at Manor Park Capital Advisors in Toronto.  He previously held senior positions at HIG European Capital Partners, Soros Fund Management and Goldman Sachs.

“City Financial is continuing a strong period of growth and development in 2014. Lalit Aggarwal’s appointment is a reflection of our commitment to attract experienced, insightful individuals to oversee and promote the success of the company,” said Williams.

Earlier this month, City Financial announced it is set to acquire the UCITS business of Dublin-domiciled asset manager Iveagh, subject to regulatory approval.

In January, City Financial added Heather Taylor as a director of corporate development to its London office and in December appointed Philip Kay as head of Asia as part of a major push in the Asian region.
