Davy Goes Live With Odyssey's WealthManager System

Davy, the Irish stockbroking, wealth management and financial advisory firm, has successfully implemented WealthManager, the platform provided by Odyssey Financial Technologies, the Swiss private banking software firm.
Following the rollout of WealthManager, Davy’s 150 relationship managers can access financial data, documents and email, as well as client information hosted in other systems which can be viewed through one application. The system will now be used by the staff to manage both the relationships and portfolios of their private clients, the firms said in a statement.
Davy is one of Odyssey’s first European WealthManager clients and so it was “of the highest importance” that the implementation of the platform was successful, said Ian Chester, general manager, Eastern Europe and Middle East at Odyssey. Part of the implementation process included enhancing the platform to comply with European market requirements, adding MiFID compliance features and integrating it with several third-party systems.
“We needed to find the right technology partner who could enable us to effectively manage complex and diversified portfolios on behalf of our clients, and also actively accompany us in the development of our new business requirements. The result shows that we made the right choice with Odyssey,” said Eamonn Doyle, Davy’s chief operating officer.
In other recent developments, last month Odyssey opened a new development centre in Glasgow, Scotland, dedicated to WealthManager and Triple’A Plus, two of its flagship private wealth management products. Now home to 20 software developers and testers, the centre’s first development projects will look into improving automatic testing procedures and increase Odyssey’s technological competence by porting its products to new platforms.
