Deutsche's Russian Subsidiary Appoints Chairman

The Russian-based subsidiary of Deutsche Bank has appointed Jürgen Fitschen as chairman of its supervisory board.

In his new role, Fitschen succeeds Charles Ryan, who is going to fully focus on the management of UFG Asset Management, Deutsche said in a statement. Prior to joining Deutsche in 1987, Fitschen worked at Citibank in its investment banking business.

In addition to his new post, Fitschen is a member of the board at Deutsche Bank Group as well as a member of the group’s executive committee. He also is a member of the supervisory board at Metro AG and Schott AG, as well as a member of the board of directors at Kuehne+Nagel International AG.
