FundQuest to distribute Russell products to RIAs

Investment platform adds asset manager's mutual-fund models, fund of funds. Third-party investment platform provider FundQuest has added Russell Investment Group's Mutual Fund Model strategies and LifePoints funds to its offerings to independent RIAs.
"RIA firms want to have an array of quality investment choices and they have a high regard for Russell's products," says David Root, head of institutional sales at Boston-based FundQuest. "Now independent RIAs can get Russell's offerings combined with FundQuest's advanced technology and operational services."

Russell's Mutual Fund Model Strategies feature five core models and five tax-managed models, diversified across up to four asset classes, eight funds, nineteen styles, and forty-eight specialist money managers.
Russell LifePoints funds' Target Portfolio Series is a fund-of-funds, offering five allocation options that are continuously monitored and automatically rebalanced.
Michael Winnick, head of strategic partnerships at Russell, says Russell is fussy about the distribution platform it works with "because we want to ensure that advisors will get real value and dependable support when they ultimately choose Russell's products."
Tacoma, Wash.-based Russell has more than $231 billion in assets under management.
FundQuest's combined U.S. and European operations have $36 billion in assets under management and administration. -FWR
