Heartwood Investment Management, a division of UK wealth manager Heartwood, has appointed Nick Hendy to the newly-created role of intermediary client director.

Hendy, with more than 26 years’ experience with distribution channels in the retail investment management industry, joins Heartwood from Aviva Investors, where he was latterly an investment sales manager - distributing onshore and offshore retail funds to life assurance companies, investment platforms and other asset managers. Hendy has also held a number of product sales roles at Standard Life and AXA.

In his new role, Hendy will be responsible for the management of Heartwood’s financial advisor distribution strategy.

Heartwood currently has £1.62 billion (around $2.5 billion) of funds under management and administration.
