ICICI Bank Launches "Super Premium" Credit Card For Wealthiest Clients

As wealth managers around the world compete with each other to offer their wealthiest clients the best rewards, privilege credit cards have become the initiative du jour. Now, India’s ICICI Bank has added what it calls a “super premium” credit card to its existing Gemstone Collection.
The new ICICI Bank Diamont card offers a host of (almost) money-can’t-buy privileges such as access to private islands, yachts, jets and supercars, along with entry to exclusive movie premieres and complimentary tee-offs at 100 golf courses across the world.
The new card adds to the bank’s existing Sapphiro, Rubyx and Coral credit cards, providing a tiered reward structure which clients can presumably ascend as they become wealthier.
At the start of this month it emerged that Russia’s Sberbank had seriously upped the ante when it comes to premium credit cards, offering the top 100 clients of its Kazakhstani unit a Visa credit card made of solid gold and encrusted with a staggering 26 diamonds. Such luxury does not come cheap, however, as the card will cost chosen clients a hefty $100,000 (but to be fair the card cost is $65,000, while the remaining $35,000 will be on its balance). It does however offer a slew of exclusive benefits, such as 24-hour phone concierge services worldwide, discounts at luxe hotels and restaurants, and life and health insurance to the tune of around $265,000.
One wonders what the next premium credit card launch will bring…
