ICICI Securities Partners With FPCIL For Financial Services Training

Financial Planning Corporation (India) has chosen ICICI Securities as its education partner to promote financial planning and certified financial planner certifications in the country.

The partnership is meant to help set benchmarks for skill-enhancement in the financial planning sector along with establishing CFP credentials as the preferred qualification for the financial services industry. ICICI Securities will be conducting the training programs under ICICI Direct Centre for Financial Learning.

"There is an enormous need for certified financial professionals in India who can understand and service the financial needs of Indians. The Centre aims at simplifying financial knowledge and increasing financial literacy," said Vineet Arora, executive vice president and head of product and distribution at ICICI.

India currently has over 24,000 enrollees to the CFP certification programme and some 3,500 have already passed all modules of the exam.
