India's Avendus Chooses Thomson Reuters To Develop Wealth Business

Avendus Capital, the Indian-based institutional financial services firm, has selected Thomson Reuters as its content solutions provider to develop its wealth management business in the country.

Thomson Reuters created a platform for Avendus that combines the Thomson Reuters Knowledge Direct market data feed and ThomsonONE.com desktop, firms said in a joint statement.

This combination creates a service offering that increases productivity of the advisory and research functions in wealth management firms. The platform achieves this by providing wealth management firms with the ability to integrate Thomson Reuters content and tools into their private client offering, while allowing the firm to leverage the knowledge and information available through the desktop.

“The synergy with Thomson Reuters will put our equity coverage ahead of the competition,” said Kartik Kini, chief administrative officer at Avendus.

Mumbai-based Avendus uses its domain and industry-focused approach to businesses like M&A advisory, private placements for growing companies, structured finance advisory, equity capital markets, institutional broking, asset management and private wealth management.
