Geller & Company, the New York financial advisory firm, has appointed Martin Cooperman as managing partner.

Cooperman was previously the Northeast region managing partner at Grant Thornton, the international accounting, tax and advisory services firm. He has been working at the firm for 35 years, serving on the partnership board, risk management committee, knowledge management steering committee and other divisions. 

At his new role, he will be responsible for growing the company's existing operations while working closely with Martin Geller, the founder and chief executive. 

Geller's services cover financial reporting and accounting, technology, tax advisory and compliance and family office and wealth management for businesses, non-profits and high net worth individuals and families.
