London and Johannesburg-listed banking group Investec, will open a private bank office in Pietermaritzburg to tap economic growth in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands region of South Africa. Investec Private Bank regional manager in KwaZulu-Natal, Colin Franks, said the bank sees Pietermaritzburg as a point of leverage into the Midlands. Investec will offer the full range of private banking services from the new office, including retail treasury services, property financing and development, transactional banking, advisory stockbroking and wealth management services.
