Investment House Adds To Teams On Both Sides Of The Pond

The listed hedge fund and investments firm has added to teams in New York in London to bolster emerging markets coverage.
Listed hedge fund group Man GLG has appointed a group of five investment professionals, completing hires for its recently-created emerging markets debt team.
The team will be based in New York and London, working under the firm’s head of emerging markets debt strategies, Guillermo Ossés, who joined the business at the start of the year.
This group oversees three strategies: one focused hard currency, one on local currency and an opportunistic strategy investing across the entire emerging markets debt domain.
Phil Yuhn joins as a portfolio manager based in New York. Yuhn was previously a portfolio manager at American Century Investments, and prior to that worked alongside Ossés as a senior portfolio manager at HSBC Global Asset Management.
Jose Wynne joins as a portfolio manager based in New York, moving from Barclays where he was head of FX research and managing director. Prior to this, he worked within the North America FX strategy team as well as spending time as a senior emerging markets strategist.
Meanwhile, Lisa Chua joins as a portfolio manager in New York. She previously worked alongside Ossés as part of the emerging markets debt team at HSBC Global Asset Management in the US.
Ehsan Bashi joins as a portfolio engineer based in New York. Bashi was previously a manager at KPMG, advising clients on risk management-related matters.
Finally, Maria do Carmo Cal joins as a product specialist, based in London. She was previously a managing director and head of capital markets at Banco Itaú BBA International, leading the development of the bank’s debt syndicate offering.
Prior to that, she led the bank’s fixed income division including sales, trading, loan syndication and credit research.
