JO Hambro Capital Management's Assets Expand, Helped By Inflows

J O Hambro Capital Management, the UK boutique investment management company, said yesterday it logged record net inflows to equity funds of £1.1 billion ($1.7 billion) in the year to 31 March, while assets have risen to £4.5 billion as of the end of June this year, a gain of £200 million from end-March.

The year was a period of strong performance by the asset manager’s funds, it said, noting that 80 per cent of JOHCM’s equity funds were ranked as top-quartile performers since their date of launch.

“We have been able to report a significant increase in operating profit despite the considerable investment during the year in new fund strategies and infrastructure. This is highly encouraging: the increased level of assets under management will generate higher revenues in the future,” Gavin Rochussen, chief executive, said.
