John Hancock Financial Services, the Boston-based subsidiary of Manulife Financial, has named Joe Scott vice president of strategic initiatives for US wealth management. Mr Scott was previously a vice president of US group pension distribution at Manulife. He will be responsible for overseeing the integration of the wealth management businesses of John Hancock and Manulife, which merged in April 2004.
