Kleinwort Benson Managing Director Steps Down

This publication brings the latest news of appointments and moves in the UK wealth management industry.

Jeremy Brown, a managing director within Kleinwort Benson's private wealth management team, has left the bank.

“We confirm that after five years with Kleinwort Benson, Jeremy Brown has left to pursue other interests,” said a spokesperson for the bank.

The bank will not seek to replace Brown directly but will remain open to recruiting talented private bankers, the spokesperson said. Brown joined Kleinwort in 2011 from JP Morgan Private Bank where he was vice president.

In November last year, Societe Generale announced plans to acquire Kleinwort Benson Wealth Management. The acquisition is expected to accelerate Societe Generale Private Banking's growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and particularly in the UK.
