Lombard Odier IM's Global CIO To Retire After Five Years At Helm

The global CIO joined the firm in 2012.

Lombard Odier Investment Managers’ global chief investment officer Jan Straatman will retire at the end of the year.

Over the course of the next six months, Straatman’s responsibilities will be gradually transitioned to the CIOs leading Lombard Odier IM’s investment boutiques, the firm said in a statement.

Following his retirement, Straatman will remain as an advisor to Lombard Odier IM and on the funds board.

He joined Lombard Odier IM in 2012 as global CIO, responsible for strengthening and streamlining Lombard Odier IM’s range of investment strategies and developing Lombard Odier IM’s multi-boutique structure.

“Jan has been a valuable member of the Lombard Odier IM management team over the last five years,” said Hubert Keller, chief executive. “Jan’s vision has always been to position Lombard Odier IM as a specialist multi-strategy player providing quality investment solutions for our clients. His hard work, deep understanding of investment processes and risk management, and his very effective management style has considerably helped us to achieve this goal. I wish him well as he embarks on this new chapter in his life.”
