LPL Financial Adds $750 Million RIA To Broker-Dealer Platform

LPL Financial has added Middleburg, VA-based Washington Wealth Management, an independent RIA with some $750 million of client assets, to its broker-dealer platform.

Washington Wealth Management offers advisors and advisor teams with $1 million and above in annual revenues ownership of their businesses, with an open-architecture approach to fee and commission-based investment choices. As part of the move, it is also affiliating with LPL's RIA platform.

"This synthesis maximizes the ability of WWM advisors to focus their efforts on building and managing critical client relationships, while avoiding time-consuming operational details," LPL said in a statement.

Washington Wealth also provides a range of back- and middle-office services and solutions, encompassing compliance, marketing and practice management support. Last week it added the Domari Wealth Management team to its roster of advisors, boosting its collective client assets by some $135 million. Since December 2011, the firm's client assets have grown from $100 million to nearly $750 million.

LPL Financial is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed LPL Financial Holdings.
