Neptune
Investment Management, based in the UK, has promoted its head
of strategy to the newly-created role of head of
distribution.
Charlie Parker will assume the role of head of distribution with
immediate effect. He joined Neptune in June 2014 as head of
strategy and has headed changes to Neptune’s distribution team
set-up, its fund range and the way it communicates its
capabilities and products to the advisory, discretionary and
international markets.
Prior to working for Neptune, Parker had been director,
Citywire Wealth Manager and director, asset management at
Citywire. He has also been editor of Citywire Wealth Manager and
Citywire’s investment editor.
“Charlie has been instrumental in helping us clarify and then
communicate our investment proposition to the marketplace.
His contribution has been vital and has helped us capitalise on
commercial opportunities in the rapidly changing operating
environment, while still continuing to meet the requirements of
our clients. Charlie’s promotion is a key move for the company,
augmenting the existing team as we ensure our business is
resourced and positioned for the future,” the firm's founder and
chief executive, Robin Geffen, said.
In May, Neptune appointed James Dowey as chief economist and
chief investment officer.
Neptune is an independent fund management company founded in May
2002. More than 75 per cent of the company is owned by its
employees and directors.
