New Head At SocGen's Canadian Wealth Management Business

Société Générale Private Banking has appointed Paul Vaillancourt as chief executive of its Canada-based subsidiary, Canadian Wealth Management Group.

Vaillancourt is currently the chief investment officer at CWM, and will maintain this role in addition to his duties as CEO. He is responsible for pursuing the firm’s overall development.

SG Private Banking completed its acquisition of Calgary-based CWM in February 2008. At the time, Paul Boëda, the firm’s founder, remained in place as chief executive alongside his core team. The wealth manager employs 30 staff.
