New York-Based DW Partners Takes Full Control Of Hedge Funds Worth Over $5 Billion

New York-headquartered DW Partners has taken over full control of two hedge funds, totalling over $5 billion of assets. UK-based Brevan Howard Capital Management had previously managed some of the operations connected with the funds. They now are entirely managed by DW.

New York-headquartered DW Partners has taken over full control of two hedge funds, totalling over $5 billion of assets. UK-based Brevan Howard Capital Management had previously managed some of the operations connected with the funds. They now are entirely managed by DW.

The change took place from the start of January, DW Partners said in a statement today. DW – which had been formerly known as DW Investment Management LP – had been the investment manager for the funds since their inception.

“This transition reflects many years of strong performance and partnership with investors, stretching back to the formation of DW in early 2009, and represents the culmination of many months of preparation to ensure a successful handover,” the firm, which oversees assets of more than $6 billion, said.

As part of the transition DW also has replaced Brevan Howard as manager of the London-listed DW Catalyst Fund Limited, formerly known as Brevan Howard Credit Catalysts, the statement added.
