Newly-Acquired Advent Software Unveils New Leadership Team

The fintech house, which has a strong presence in the wealth management space, has announced its new leadership team after the recent takeover by SS&C.
SS&C Technologies has announced the line-up of the team leading Advent Software, the San Francisco-based fintech firm that it acquired recently.
Pete Hess, who has served as Advent’s president and chief
executive, will lead SS&C’s Advent business unit as senior
vice president and general manager. He will oversee the
establishment of two distinct market facing teams within Advent,
SS&C said in a statement.
The advisory market group will take charge of serving clients and
growing the business within the wealth management and investment
advisor market. The group will be led by Dave Welling, formerly
the general manager of Advent’s Black Diamond business group, and
now SVP and managing director of SS&C’s advisory market
group, reporting to Hess. The asset management and alternatives
market group, led by Hess, will focus on delivering solutions for
the dynamic needs of the traditional and alternative asset
management markets.
Additional executives who have been promoted within the asset
management and alternatives market group include Robert Roley as
the head of solutions and client experience, Marc Flamini as head
of sales, and Karen Geiger to lead solutions development. Bob
Conchiglia has also been promoted to lead sales for the advisory
market group.
The $2.63 billion acquisition of Advent was completed in early
July this year, part of a process of continuing M&A activity
in the fintech space. Recently, FIS, the global provider of
banking and payments technology, as well as consulting and
outsourcing solutions, moved to acquire all equity of the
Pennsylvania-based financial software company SunGard, in a cash
and stock deal that values the latter firm at $9.1 billion.
