Novia Targets Expats With New Offshore Platform

UK-based Novia has launched an offshore platform for investment advisors and their clients in this market.

UK-based Novia has launched an offshore platform for investment advisors and their clients in this market.

The wrap platform, called Novia Global, will go live in the second quarter of this year. It will offer expats access to a diverse range of offshore funds, exchange traded funds, structured products, direct equities and a cost-effective spectrum of offshore bonds, the firm said.

Novia Global seeks to allow international advisors and trustees greater transparency to monitor investment performance and build model portfolios.

The platform will be regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and led by Bill Vasilieff, Novia's current chief executive.

“The offshore market presents a huge opportunity to provide new transparent solutions in a market previously dominated by outdated and opaque systems. We are seeing the impact of the Retail Distribution Review in the UK market and we believe a similar transition is also taking place in the offshore market with a move by jurisdictions towards transparency,” said Vasilieff.
