Bank Rhode Island has formed a private banking division in a joint venture with Coastline Trust Company, a Rhode Island-based trust company. The new bank will provide a new service called One Trust and Private Banking Services. “The One(TM) account will provide customers a locally based, integrated platform for organizing all aspects of their financial life, from savings and checking to long-term investments,” Bank Rhode Island said in a statement. “Each client will have a seasoned Bank Rhode Island relationship manager who will coordinate customer needs.” Coastline Trust will offer fiduciary and investment management services to the new joint venture, which has yet to be named. The trust company manages more than $800 million in assets.
