Rothschild Asia Adds Eighth Man to Debt Restructuring Team

Global financial services provider Rothschild has hired Enoch Tan to become part of its eight-person Asia debt advisory and restructuring team in Singapore.

Mr Tan was previously the executive director and senior originator for the alternative capital markets division of UBS Singapore. He will be reporting to the group's team leader Robert Schmitz.

According to a statement, Mr Tan's appointment is in line with Rothschild's plan to expand its debt restructuring resources in the region, in anticipation of an increase in distressed corporate situations caused by the financial crisis.

Rothschild, which specialises in investment banking, corporate banking, and private banking and trust, has 49 offices in 34 countries. In Asia, it has branches in Beijing, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Mumbai, New Delhi, Singapore, Shanghai, and Sydney.
