Sanne Group Poaches RBC Wealth Executive

The provider of corporate, fund administration, reporting and fiduciary services has expanded its leadership team with a private client role.

London-listed Sanne Group has appointed Steve Sokić from the Royal Bank of Canada to the newly-created role of global head of private clients.

Sokić joins from RBC Wealth Management where he held senior leadership roles in Jersey, the Caribbean and Canada for more than 13 years, with responsibility for trust and fiduciary services. Most recently, he served as the firm's global head of UHNW (ultra-high net wort) Trust. Before RBC, Sokić spent a decade at Deloitte in Canada, covering international tax and trusts.

As part of Sanne's leadership team, he will be responsible for enhancing the private client division's offering, while furthering its reach to family offices, ultra-high net worth individuals and their families. He will be based in Jersey.

“Steve is a highly-regarded and hugely trusted professional, with considerable private client expertise, and we are delighted to welcome him to our leadership team,” said Dean Godwin, chief executive of Sanne.

“He brings over two decades of private client industry specific experience, across multiple geographies, enabling us to further develop and enhance our service to clients and position ourselves as a leading global provider in this space.”

Last month, Sanne agreed to acquire IDS Fund Services, a South Africa-based provider of outsourced investment administration services to the asset management industry. The group administers structures and funds with over €110 billion ($124 billion) in assets. It currently has a presence in Dubai, Dublin, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Jersey, London, Luxembourg, Shanghai and Singapore.
