The UK operation of Spain's largest lender has announced its latest offering for wealthy clients.

Santander UK has launched Santander Private, a new service providing banking and wealth management services to private clients, business owners and entrepreneurs. The bespoke service, which comes with a dedicated private banker, is offered to clients with investments and savings of over £500,000 ($633,331) , or those with an annual income exceeding £250,000.
 
Charlotte Platts will lead the service. Platts joined the firm last year, and has more than 25 years’ experience in private banking and wealth management.
 
The private offering will leverage the group’s private banking offering and access to international markets, identifying opportunities to protect and grow clients’ wealth over the long term, Santander said.
 
“The launch of Santander Private is a significant step for our wealth management business," Platts said. "The introduction of this latest service is a natural progression in our wealth model, which has grown significantly following the success of the Select offering and the launch of our investment hub aimed at making investments more accessible."
 
She added: “Santander’s move into the private banking sector has been driven by strong demand from clients, particularly from within our corporate bank, requiring tailored solutions that match their financial goals.”
