Signature Bank Appoints Three Private Client Teams In New York

New York-based Signature Bank has brought in three private client banking teams in Manhattan, Great Neck and Brooklyn.

The first team joins in Manhattan from Citibank and is comprised of Joan McNulty, group director and senior vice president; Melissa Badger, associate group director and vice president; and Manuel Chalen, a senior client associate.

The firm said McNulty worked closely with Badger and Chalen for ten and five years, respectively, at Citibank. Badger, previously sales manager of treasury products and vice president at Citibank, has 23 years of banking experience, focused mostly on middle market clients.

Based in Great Neck, NY, the second team is made up of Chris Panellino, group director and senior vice president, and associate group directors Helen Dounias and Jason Torres. They all join from HSBC in Glen Oaks, NY.

Panellino has served as branch manager at HSBC in Glen Oaks for the past 22 years, where she worked with Dounias, who most recently worked with commercial and high net worth clients as a premier relationship manager and vice president. Torres spent the last seven of his 18-year banking career working with Panellino and Dounias as a senior business relationship manager and vice president, serving commercial banking and HNW clients.

Meanwhile, Michael Santucci has been named as group director of investments within Signature Securities Group, the firm’s investment advisory arm. Santucci has 20 years of investment expertise and spent 17 years at the same location as Panellino as a senior financial advisor and vice president, serving business owners and HNW clients.

Lastly, group director and vice president Monika Buono, along with senior client associate Joanne Panagiotakis and senior client associate client associate Angela Zoto, temporarily join the Borough Park, Brooklyn, private client banking office until the firm establishes a new site in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

In March, Signature Bank brought in two private client banking teams from Citibank to operate from a new private client office, which at the time it said was being planned in Staten Island, NY (view here).
