Singapore Regulator Issues 2014 Limited Edition Coins

Collectors poised for MAS' unveiling of 2014 limited edition coins.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore, Singapore's financial regulatory body, has launched a new series of limited edition coins for issue on 1 January 2014.

The new coins are the 2014 Year of the Horse Almanac Coin, 2014 Uncirculated Coin Set and Singapore First Almanac Coin Series Puzzle Coin Set. They are a part of the third Chinese Almanac coin series and will come in nine versions, including a one kilogram coin made of 999 fine silver. Selected premium sets will include an eight-sided floral-shaped ingot featuring a pair of horses in a field of peonies.

The details are as follows: S$200 Gold Proof Coin (200 pieces), S$100 Gold Proof Coin (2,000 pieces), S$5 Gold Proof Coin (2,000 pieces), S$1 Gold Brilliant Uncirculated Coin (10,000 pieces), S$80 Silver Proof-like Coin (1,000 pieces), S$25 Silver Proof Coin (250 pieces), S$10 Silver Piedford Proof Colour Coin (20,000 pieces), S$2 Silver Proof Coin (10,000 pieces) and S$2 Cupro-Nickle Proof-like Coin (80,000 pieces). 

The coins will be sold by The Singapore Mint.
