The firm has added to its insurance solutions team.

Standard Life Investments has appointed Richard Pereira as investment director, a newly-created role.

He will join the firm’s insurance solutions team, based in London, and will report to Stephen Acheson, executive director of global strategic partnerships.

Pereira is tasked with enhancing the company’s ability to support, strengthen and grow its global insurance asset management business.

“Richard is highly regarded within the insurance sector and will work closely with our global clients to ensure that Standard Life Investments remains a market leader in innovative investment solutions across all asset classes and in the management of insurance assets,” said Acheson.
