Standard Chartered Private Bank has appointed Rajesh Malkani as regional head, South East Asia, confirming a report by WealthBriefing earlier this month that he had been appointed to the post. Previously, Mr Malkani was global head of sales and business development, private banking. He has been based in Asia for more than 15 years, holding senior roles in the banking industry. On 2 April, WealthBriefing revealed that Mr Malkini would take up the post, vacated by Agnes Choi, who has been put in charge of a team to target ultra high net worth clients.
