The risk-based portfolios offer investors a choice of investment strategies across five risk levels.
Standard
Life Investments has launched its MyFolio Multi-Manager SICAV
fund range.
The MyFolio suite was first launched in the UK in 2010 as an
open-ended investment company and has been one of the
firm’s fastest growing fund ranges, reaching £10 billion ($12.1
billion) in assets under management in November 2016, Standard
Life Investments said in a statement.
MyFolio’s latest development makes the multi-manager funds
available in Germany under a Luxemburg–domiciled SICAV
umbrella.
The funds consist of five multi-asset, fund-of-fund portfolios
that aim to provide investors with a long-term return in line
with their chosen level of risk. According to Standard Life
Investments, the funds are modelled on the suite's original
capability of helping advisors and clients respond to the
changing market and regulatory environment in the UK.
MyFolio is managed by the firm's 12-strong fund solutions team
based in London.
“In the current low growth, low return environment, it is the
right time to launch the multi-manager range in Germany, so that
investors can benefit from active management and diversification
across 16 different asset classes,” said James Millard,
investment director of fund solutions at Standard Life
Investments.
“We’ve been active in Germany for over a decade and we are now
seeing increased demand from the retail market,” added Frank
Richter, head of sales for Germany.
SICAV is an acronym for “société d'investissement à capital
variable”, translated from French as “investment company with
variable capital”, and is a type of open-ended investment fund.
The MyFolio Multi Manager SICAV is registered and available
in Germany and Luxembourg.
Standard Life Investments had assets under management
of £269 billion as of 30 June 2016.
AXA
Investment Managers recently launched a robotics-focused
SICAV fund that is registered for distribution across Europe.
