Wealth management senior moves around the world during June.
UK, Europe, Middle East and select international
locations
FNZ, the global wealth management platform, appointed Enrique
Sacau as the new chief executive officer for Europe. Sacau
rejoined FNZ after having led the firm’s business development
efforts in Europe as managing director of Europe from 2014 to
2017.
The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority approved REYL
Intesa Sanpaolo’s new governance structure. François Reyl became
a member of the Swiss bank’s board of directors and chairman of
its strategic committee.
Pasha Bakhtiar, partner and member of the executive committee,
became new CEO of REYL Intesa Sanpaolo and executive committee
chairman. Bakhtiar has been a partner at the bank since 2018.
Reyl joined the bank in 2002 after a 13-year career as an M&A
lawyer with Jones Day and an investment banker at Credit Suisse
First Boston. Initially head of development, he became CEO in
2008. Reyl played a major role in launching RAM Active
Investments, subsequently sold to Mediobanca in 2018. He also
launched the bank’s corporate finance and asset services business
lines. Reyl also co-led the incubation of Alpian, the Swiss
digital private bank and, in 2021, initiated the negotiations
that led to the firm’s strategic partnership with Fideuram -
Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking. Reyl succeeded Ruth
Metzler-Arnold on the board of directors.
UBS Global Wealth Management made three new hires and updated its
regional organisation.
Bassel Al Zaouk joined from Deutsche Bank, where he was CEO and
chief country officer for the bank’s franchise in Saudi Arabia.
Based in Riyadh, Al Zaouk's remit is to build the
domestic wealth management business in Saudi Arabia.
Ali Khunji is responsible for growing the wealth management
business in Bahrain and the Eastern Province. Khunji assumed the
role as co-location head Bahrain together with Khaled Salah.
Khunji previously headed the wealth and personal banking business
in Bahrain for HSBC.
Meanwhile, Rana Al Emam is responsible for growing the business
in Abu Dhabi. El Emam was also at HSBC, where she was head of
private banking in Abu Dhabi. Al Zaouk and Khunji report to Niels
Zilkens, head of wealth management Middle East, and Al Emam
reports to Georges El Khoury, location head Dubai.
Stonehage Fleming appointed Cora Binchy as head of fiduciary.
Binchy oversees the fiduciary businesses in Jersey, Guernsey, the
Isle of Man, Switzerland, Monaco, Malta and Mauritius. Binchy,
who joined Stonehage Fleming in 1987, has experience of working
with international high net worth families providing trustee and
executor services.
First Sentier Investors appointed Adele Swan as the new chief
people and culture officer. Based in Edinburgh, Swan reports to
the CEO, Mark Steinberg. Swan has three decades of experience
across all aspects of people and culture within the financial
services sector globally, including with Standard Life Aberdeen
(now abrdn), HSBC and Tesco Bank. Swan took over from Melanie
King, who was in the role for three years.
Rathbones Asset Management appointed James Crossley as head of
asset management distribution, effective in September. Crossley
will be joining from Legal & General Investment Management,
where he was head of UK wholesale distribution. Prior to that, he
spent 14 years at Jupiter Asset Management, latterly as head of
retail distribution.
Another joiner was Abigail Sater as head of distribution
strategy. Sater was formerly at The Big Exchange, where she spent
four years, latterly as chief executive officer. The new
leadership team reports to Jayne Rogers.
Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management UK and Crown Dependencies, a
UK-based independent wealth management firm by assets under
management, appointed senior wealth planner, Samantha Gibson to
join the Newcastle team. Gibson has over 20 years’
experience in wealth planning and financial services.
IQ-EQ appointed former Deloitte senior figure Philippe Hijazin as
managing director for activities in Belgium. In his previous job
at Deloitte Consulting, Hijazin was a director, working in fields
such as asset management, private equity and advisory services
for real estate.
UK wealth manager Brooks Macdonald appointed Andrea Montague as
group chief executive officer, starting in October, and subject
to regulatory approval. Her appointment came after group CEO
decided to retire after 22 years at the group. Montague was also
appointed as group CEO designate. Montague, who joined the group
in August 2023, was most recently group chief risk officer at
Aviva.
Ostrum Asset Management, an affiliate of Natixis Investment
Managers, appointed Gaëlle Théaud-Gautheron as chief operating
officer. Théaud-Gautheron has over 20 years of expertise in the
financial sector.
Independent and privately owned Crestbridge Family Office
Services expanded its senior central services team. Emma Sanford,
head of human resources, and Simon Logan, head of risk and
compliance, joined the team, led by Heather Tibbo.
Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research, aka Square Mile,
a UK business, appointed Scott Spencer as an investment director
within its investment management team. Prior to this, Spencer
worked at Columbia Threadneedle Asset Management as an investment
manager.
Jersey-based Spring Investment Management, or Spring, appointed
Nadine Irons as its new director. Irons, who joined the firm
earlier in 2024 as head of client engagement, has more than 20
years’ financial sector experience.
BIL Suisse, the private bank which has offices in Geneva, Lugano,
and Zurich, appointed a quartet of managers to join its
operations. Natalia Lopez, Michael Zah, Sebastian Capone, and
Steven Schraner joined the firm.
Zah was a executive director at UBS, and senior client advisor
for the Swiss bank’s wealth management business, based in Zurich.
Capone is a senior investment advisor at BIL Suisse, also based
in Zurich. Prior to this, he was a client portfolio manager for
Credit Suisse, and before that, he held the same role at UBS.
Schraner is in senior sales and business development at BIL
Suisse. Previously, he worked at Carne Group as a client
relationship manager based in Zurich.
Northern Trust Asset Management appointed David Abner as head of
global ETFs and funds. He reports to Paula Kar, NTAM global head
of product. Most recently, Abner was global head of business
development at Gemini Crypto Exchange.
Crestbridge Family Office Services appointed Mark Beer as its
newest director. Beer, who was previously at RBC Services, leads
a team of client-facing professionals meeting the
multi-jurisdictional needs of UHNW families. Beer has over 20
years’ experience in the finance industry.
International financial advisory firm Hoxton Capital Management
promoted Jacob Hall to the role of global director of advisory.
Hall joined Dubai-based Hoxton in August 2021 as head of client
services after more than 10 years’ working with other financial
advisory firms elsewhere in the UAE.
S64, a global alternatives fintech and solutions partner to the
wealth management industry, appointed Marcus Glover as chief
technology officer. Glover has more than 25 years' experience in
technology across wealth management, asset management and
investment banking.
TIME Investments, the UK firm, hired Billy Brown as head of
internal sales. Brown previously worked at Triple Point.
The Investor Forum, a not-for-profit organisation of institutions
holding UK stocks that push for stewardship in decision-making,
appointed Chris Kinder as its new CEO. Kinder joined after
founding executive director Andy Griffiths stepped down after
leading the Forum for 10 years.
Harneys Fiduciary added David Wilman and Kavita Maharaj-Alexander
to its general counsel team, based in London and the Cayman
Islands, respectively. Willman has over 25 years of professional
services legal and operational experience, including more than a
decade as a general counsel. He is based in London.
Maharaj-Alexander was appointed as deputy general counsel in the
Cayman Islands office.
UK-based investment manager 7IM appointed Sam Christopher in the
new role of head of platform. Christopher reports to Russell
Lancaster, managing director, platform and intermediary
partnerships.
State Street named former senior UBS and Credit Suisse figure
Dagmar Kamber Borens as head of global markets for continental
Europe for State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI). Borens
reports to Anthony Bisegna, head of State Street Global Markets
and Andreas Przewloka, CEO of SSBI. With more than 20 years’
experience in financial services, Borens joined State Street in
2021 as country head for Switzerland. She expanded this role to
lead the German depository bank business and, in January 2023,
took overall management of the investment services business for
the Netherlands, Austria and the Nordics.
Allspring Global Investments appointed Francesco Monge, CFA, as
sales director for the Middle East and Africa. He is based in
London and reports to Andy Sowerby, head of the International
Client Group. Monge has more than 30 years of experience in the
industry.
Evelyn Partners, a UK-based wealth management and professional
services group, appointed George Uglow as a financial planner. He
is based in the Exeter office which offers services to clients
across the West Country. Uglow, who has worked in the financial
services industry for more than 15 years, was previously a
chartered financial planner at Cavendish Medical.
Bentley Reid, an employee-owned wealth manager, made two senior
appointments, based in its London office: Kevin Andrews as head
of IT and operations and Martin Azzinnaro as head of investment
operations. Azzinnaro reports to Andrews. Andrews spent the last
five years in a variety of roles at Arbuthnot Latham, most
recently as senior platform lead.
Tony McLoughlin, a director at London & Capital, where he worked
for more than 29 years, died. He was the longest serving member
of the UK-based business.
Azura Partners, a global investment office, appointed former
senior Credit Suisse figure Pauline Cahill as chief people
officer. Joining Credit Suisse in 2006, Cahill served as a member
of the management committee for the Middle East, Turkey and
Africa business.
Suntera Global set up a London office, led by Jade Fellowes,
client services director and head of intermediaries. Fellowes has
more than 15 years' experience in running and providing trust and
corporate administration services.
Tabula Capital, a London-based quantitative macro credit manager,
hired Teresa Durso as managing director and chief operating
officer. Durso has almost 20 years’ financial services experience
to the role. Her more recent roles were CEO/COO of Berry Street
Capital.
Bank J Safra Sarasin appointed Léna Jacquelin as co-portfolio
manager on the JSS Sustainable Equity – Green Planet
fund.
Franklin Templeton created a new team to support the growth of
alternative solutions in the wealth channel. London-based George
Szemere, who was previously head of business development,
alternatives, EMEA, was appointed as head of alternatives EMEA
wealth management.
Tyndall Investment Management appointed Anthony Snowden as
investment director within its private client practice. Snowden
has over 13 years' investment experience. Much of this time was
spent as an investment manager at Ruffer where he ran portfolios
on behalf of private clients, financial planners, charities and
pension schemes.
Payden & Rygel, a privately-owned global investment advisor,
appointed Niall Clifford as senior vice president, based in
London. Clifford was formerly a principal in Mercer’s insurance
solutions team.
Accounting and advisory firm Saffery expanded its corporate
finance team in the south of England. It took on Hemal Pandit as
a director in its Bournemouth office.
Trusts and estates expert Deborah Barker-Roye was promoted to
partner at Ogier, based in the Cayman Islands.
UK-based law firm Farrer & Co appointed Rhian Lewis as head of
pro bono and counsel. She joined from Hogan Lovells, where her
practice focused on pro bono and international human rights
law.
Global advisory firm MKP Advisors appointed Tony White as a key
member of its leadership team. White has more than 20 years of
experience in investment and corporate banking.
North America
Globalcap, a UK-headquartered tech provider for private markets,
appointed Scott Kreitz, president and head of operations, to lead
the firm’s US office in New York.
Kreitz has more than 20 years’ experience in financial markets, launching products across institutional and wealth management segments.
He was joined by US head of marketing, Alexandra Marciniak, who previously worked at Goldman Sachs and Bloomberg; head of US business development, Joshua Kasper, from Fidelity Investments; and head of “customer success US,” Carly Ferris, formerly of Z-Squared Securities.
Fiduciary Trust International has appointed Laura C Pease, and James T Farmer, as managing director, senior trust officer and managing director, senior portfolio manager, respectively. Both individuals are based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Pease, a 24-year veteran of Bank of America in Atlanta, has more than three decades of industry experience and community leadership. Prior to joining Fiduciary Trust International, she served as a private client advisor and senior vice president at Bank of America Private Bank where she catered to high net worth individuals, families, and family offices.
In his previous role, Farmer spent more than 15 years as a portfolio manager at Bank of America Private Bank in Atlanta, delivering investment advice and solutions for high net worth individuals and families. Prior to that, he worked at Calibre Family Office and Offitbank (subsidiaries of Wachovia Bank) in their family office investment divisions.
Coller Capital appointed Matthew McCann as a director in New York to focus on RIA and family office sales. Previously, McCann spent seven years as a principal at Investcorp, where he was responsible for family office, RIA and institutional fundraising for the firm’s private equity and general partner stakes' businesses.
Verdence Capital Advisors, a private wealth advisor, appointed Dwight Davenport as executive director, private wealth advisor, at its newest office location in Boston, Massachusetts. Davenport brings more than 30 years of wealth management and leadership experience to the team.
Commonwealth Financial Network, a US firm. said Terramar Wealth of Carlsbad, California, joined its network of independent financial advisors. Advisors include Mike Gallop, Danny McMahon, Steve Statzer, Steve Rubinstein, Greg Fox, Jeffrey Gardner, and Todd Oberlin; they were joined by Pat Posada, director of compliance.
Certuity, an RIA, appointed former WisdomTree and Dynasty figure Scott Welch as chief investment officer. Welch, who has more than 25 years’ investment experience, was most recently a member of the WisdomTree asset allocation and investment committees and CIO of their model portfolios.
Minneapolis-headquartered Nepsis®, a national financial advisor and investment management firm, made two appointments to bolster the firm's tax division and help high net worth clients resolve complex tax requirements.
Jack Cahill, joined Nepsis® as senior vice president of tax, and Chad Koebnick was named vice president of specialized tax services. They report to Byran Eberle, president of Nepsis® tax solutions.
A Virginia-based team of financial advisors, previously at Truist and running about $915 million in assets, joined RBC Wealth Management in the US. The group includes Alexander S Brown, managing director and financial advisor, with 22 years’ industry experience; and William Brinkley, MD, financial advisor, with 36 years of industry track record. Others in the team: Taylor Brinkley, financial advisor; Lane Thomas, senior business associate; Victoria Roberts, SBA; Hunter Brammer, SBA; Carly Kacvinsky, registered client associate; John Kim, client associate; and Jan Conner, CA.
Ritholtz Wealth Management, a US RIA, appointed former financial journalist Callie Cox as chief market strategist – a newly-created role. She operates from the firm’s new Charlotte office. Prior to this, Cox was an investment analyst at social investing platform eToro. She also held investment strategy and research positions at Ally, LPL Financial and First Citizens Bank. Cox began her career as a reporter at Bloomberg.
Winthrop Capital Management, an RIA, promoted Adam Coons as co-chief investment officer. Coons, who has been at the firm since 2013, was previously chief portfolio manager.
American Endowment Foundation, a sponsor of donor-advised funds, added two C-suite figures to its team: Karen Heath-Wade, chief business development officer and Kelly McGrath, chief marketing and communications officer. Heath-Wade served as the senior vice president and global head of client strategy and service at American Century Investments. McGrath has nearly 25 years of experience in marketing and communications. Previously she was senior manager for internal communications at The Lubrizol Corporation.
Citigroup appointed two senior figures in its wealth management operation in the US: Kris Bitterly and Keith Glenfield. Bitterly, who was previously head of investment solutions, is the US bank’s new “Head of Wealth at Work.” Glenfield became head of investment solutions, heading its global investment product organization, which includes Citi Investment Management, markets, alternative investments and insurance.

Fiduciary Trust International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton, appointed Erica B Landeros as trust counsel in the firm’s New York office. Prior to this, Landeros worked at Bank of America Private Bank in New York, where she was managing director and regional fiduciary advisor in the office of the chief fiduciary. Before this, Landeros (formerly Slezak) was in private practice as a high net worth estate planning and administration attorney for over two decades.
Pritzker Private Capital brought back Anna Edgcomb as vice president for manufactured products, and Alyson Brown has joined as VP for its services area. Edgcomb and Brown help source and execute investments.
Returning to PPC after receiving her MBA from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, Edgcomb was previously an associate at PPC. She began her career in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Brown joined from Wind Point Partners, a middle market private equity firm.
Equitable Advisors, a wealth advisory firm, appointed Lori Brown and Jim Carroll. They moved their practice from Truist, where they managed a total of $326 million in client assets.
Summit Financial launched a new independent firm, SRM Private Wealth, headquartered in Pasadena, California. It is led by managing partner and private wealth advisor Richard McWhorter.
Eton Advisors, the multi-family office, named Tamara Surratt as a member of its leadership team. Surratt founded and is CEO of Legacy Family Office. Her expertise covers areas such as estate and tax planning, family governance, heir development and education, and philanthropic initiatives.
Russell Investments appointed C J Jaskoll as chief technology officer. Jaskoll reports to chief operating officer Vernon Barback and sits on its operating committee. Prior to joining Russell Investments, Jaskoll worked at Neuberger Berman for seven years, where he most recently served as managing director, head of investment and data technologies.
FINTRX, a resource for private wealth and research, appointed Christian Connolly as a senior business development director. He is based in Boston, Massachusetts. Connolly joined in June and previously worked for Virtuoso, a software firm.
RBC Global Asset Management, (RBC GAM) appointed a new CEO – Donald Sanya – for its US business. He took over from predecessor Mike Lee. Sanya reports to Damon Williams, chief executive for RBC GAM. Sanya joined RBC GAM in 2014 as MD, US institutional sales.
Colorado-headquartered Risclarity named Mark Wickersham as senior vice president of strategic marketing and business development. A resident of Boston, Wickersham has served in a variety of roles in a working career spanning more than three decades.
Advisor360°, which provides wealth management software, appointed Abbe Gálvez Cordón as senior vice president of strategy and corporate development – a newly-formed role. Gálvez Cordón reports to CEO Mike Fanning. Prior to this, Gálvez Cordón was managing director, head of wealth and wealthtech investment banking at Bank of America. She was at BoA for 16 years in various roles.
TIFIN, a fintech firm with a focus on AI, appointed investor and entrepreneur Ken Denman (pictured) to join its board of directors. Among previous roles, Denman was president and CEO of Emotient, an authority on automated facial expression analysis, which was acquired by Apple in 2016. He serves as a general partner at Sway Ventures, a US-based venture capital firm investing in early- to mid-stage technology companies. In addition to Sway and TIFIN, he holds positions on several boards, including Costco Wholesale and Motorola Solutions.
Private wealth advisor Kyle Rasmussen and financial advisor Nick Blasberg joined the independent channel of Ameriprise Financial. They joined from LPL Financial in Reinbeck, Iowa with over $105 million in client assets.
Advyzon Investment Management named Scott Smith, former executive at Goldman Sachs and BNY Mellon | Pershing, as chief revenue officer. Smith, who has over 20 years of industry experience, oversees sales, marketing, pricing, and revenue management, focusing on growth.
Smith previously served as head of central division RIA custody sales at Goldman Sachs for the past three years.
Johnson Financial Group appointed Evamarie Schoenborn to lead the US registered investment advisor, Johnson Wealth, as president. Schoenborn brought more than 20 years of investment management experience, most recently serving as CEO of US Bank Investments in Minneapolis.
Stratos Wealth Advisors, an RIA, recruited Ohio-based Pistone Wealth Advisors into its embrace. Pistone is led by chief executive and president Karyn Pistone. The team also includes senior advisor Spencer Dieck, practice manager Linda Tekavec, and advisor David Taucher.
JP Morgan Asset Management appointed former BlackRock senior figure Shayan Hussain as its head of US investment specialists in its global fixed income, currency and commodities (GFICC) team. At BlackRock, Hussain was head of fundamental fixed income product strategy for the Americas. Based in New York, he will report to US chief investment officer of fixed income Kay Herr.
RBC Wealth Management welcomed Michael Taggart as managing director – financial advisor, and his team to its Florham Park office. Taggart, who has more than 35 years of industry experience, is the group’s founder. Joining from JP Morgan, the Taggart group also includes Dalia Bubbico a senior business associate, Jerry Azzollini a senior financial associate, and Ria Taggart a senior registered client associate.
Raymond James moves:
Raymond James welcomed a $1.3 billion former Morgan Stanley
advisor team – comprising seven people – to its employee advisor
channel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The team includes financial
advisors Nick Takahashi, James Zapotocky, Joshua Yocam, Luka
Vasiljevic, Michael Ortega, Stephen Ellingsen and Sean Tsaconas,
as well as senior client service associate Yalda Momeni. At
Morgan Stanley, the group managed about $1.3 billion in client
assets.
The firm also welcomed former Morgan Stanley financial advisor Kevin L Mize to its independent advisor channel. Based in Scotts Valley, California as Earthrise Financial, Mize was joined by client service associate Sebastian Henshaw. Previously, Mize was affiliated with Morgan Stanley where he managed over $200 million in client assets.
Raymond James welcomed financial advisor Devona Benavidez to its independent advisor channel. Benavidez joined the team at ZeroThreeSixtyTM Wealth Partners in Albuquerque, New Mexico, along with branch associates Mackenzie Merony and Jacqueline Martinez.
Michigan-based financial advisor Michael Dempsey joined Raymond James. Operating in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Dempsey was previously at Wells Fargo Advisors, where he managed over $200 million in client assets. He was joined by senior registered client service associate Lorraine Lalicata.
A group of financial advisors in Anchorage, Alaska overseeing almost $600 million of clients’ assets, teamed up with Raymond James. The advisors are Keith Green and John Coon. Green was previously with Morgan Stanley, where he managed over $290 million in client assets. He leads Borealis Wealth Advisory of Raymond James and is joined by investment portfolio associate Christian Deykes. Coon managed about $308 million in client assets at Merrill Lynch and is joined by client service associates Gail Hill and Ally Berg.
Financial advisors John Meffert, Warren “Jud” Scroggie and Ross Davis joined the independent advisor channel of Raymond James. They joined from Merrill Lynch, overseeing about $490 million in assets.
Asia-Pacific
Citi appointed Matthew Hung as head of corporate banking for Hong
Kong. Hung drives the business performance and strategy for
Citi’s corporate banking business in Hong Kong, including local
corporates, public sector organisations, financial institutions
and multinational clients in the market. He reports to Kaleem
Rizvi, head of corporate bank for Japan, North Asia and
Australia, and Aveline San, Hong Kong and Macau CEO and head of
banking. Hung has over 20 years of experience of banking for Hong
Kong and mainland Chinese clients including multinational
companies. Previously, he was at HSBC where he served in several
senior roles, including head of corporate coverage for Hong
Kong.Given Citigroup's integrated business model, the corporate
banking side of the lender typically works closely with the
private banking arm, given how many high net worth and ultra-HNW
clients own operating companies.
Indosuez Wealth Management appointed a new CEO for its Hong Kong
branch – Michaël Kofman. Kofman succeeded Olivier Livenais, who
has been in the role since early 2020. Kofman relocated from
Geneva to Hong Kong and reports to Omar Shokur, Indosuez’s CEO
for the Asia region. At the Crédit Agricole group since
2002, Kofman has been at the Indosuez business for more than 13
years and in the financial services sector for three decades.
Northern Trust Asset Management, appointed Naoto Komoro to lead
its asset management business in Japan. Komoro is continuing in
his role as head of Institutional Client Group, Japan and became
the representative director and chair of the board of Northern
Trust Global Investments. Komoro reports to John McCareins, head
of International, Northern Trust Asset Management and Bert
Rebelo, head of Institutional Client Group, Asia Pacific, at
Northern Trust Asset Management.
Since joining Northern Trust in 2007, Komoro has worked in senior
roles across portfolio management, client management and sales in
the manager’s London and Tokyo offices. Prior to NTAM, he spent
six years at Mizuho Trust & Banking Co.
Australian life insurer TAL, which is part of Japan’s Dai-ichi
Life Group, appointed Fiona Macgregor as its new group chief
executive and managing director. In the financial services sector
for more than two decades, Macgregor spent the first part of her
career with the Royal Bank of Scotland, building experience on
innovation in the European, US and Asian markets. She has also
worked as an independent consultant.
Citigroup launched a commercial banking arm in Japan. The
Japanese business is led by Yutaka Naito, who joined the US
banking group in 2019.
Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (Natixis CIB) appointed
Arnaud Davoust as head of equity derivatives sales and
structuring, Asia-Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Davoust reports
to Eric Elbaz, head of sales and structuring, Asia-Pacific
and globally to Guillaume Calvino, global head of equity
structuring. Davoust spent five years at Bank of America in
Singapore where he was head of equity derivatives sales and
structuring for APAC and head of equities for Southeast
Asia.

UOB Thailand appointed Richard Maloney as its new chief executive
officer. He succeeded Tan Choon Hin, who had led UOB Thailand
since 2016. Tan returned to Singapore to take on a new role
as deputy head of group governance, risk and compliance.
Vira-Anong C Phutrakul was appointed as head, wholesale banking
and deputy CEO of UOB Thailand. Maloney is an industry
veteran with 40 years of experience in wholesale banking, capital
markets and retail banking. Since joining UOB in 2014, he has
been chief operating officer, group wholesale banking. Prior to
UOB, Maloney was chief operating officer for ASEAN at a global
bank.
Franklin Templeton appointed former BNP Paribas Wealth Management
figure Gaurav Bathija to the newly-created role of head of
private banks and family offices. Bathija is based in
Singapore and reports to Christian Bucaro, head of wealth for
Asia at the US-headquartered firm.
Former Citi Private Bank figure Lynn Ong joined Bank of
Singapore, at its family office and structuring solutions
business – a new group. The entity sits inside BoS’s financial
intermediaries, family office and wealth advisory unit. Ong
focuses on engaging clients with family office advisory needs and
developing Bank of Singapore’s strategic initiatives for single
family offices. Ong reports to Guo Jiawen who heads the family
office and structuring solutions business. Prior to this,
Ong advised global ultra-high net worth families on family office
and philanthropy planning and structuring across Singapore and
Hong Kong, as well as formulated strategies for the family office
client segment at Citi Private Bank.
Azura Partners, a global investment office working with family
offices and ultra-high worth individuals, appointed former senior
Credit Suisse figure Pauline Cahill as chief people
officer. Cahill has more than 30 years' experience of
international HR. Joining Credit Suisse in 2006, Cahill served as
a member of the management committee for the Middle East, Turkey
and Africa business. Prior to this, she served in senior HR roles
for Merrill Lynch and KPMG.
BlackRock named Yik Ley Chan to lead its private credit efforts
in Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. With 16 years’ experience
in financial services, Chan has spent more than 13 years of them
in structuring private credit and financing solutions. He was
most recently Asia head of private credit at Jefferies, where he
oversaw markets in Southeast Asia including Singapore, Malaysia,
Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Bank of Singapore appointed a chief portfolio strategist – Dr Owi S Ruivivar, an investment manager with more than three decades’ experience in economics, strategy and portfolio management. Dr Ruivivar, who is based in Singapore, reports to the lender’s global chief investment officer, Jean Chia. Prior to this, she worked at Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC. Since January this year, the chief investment officer has been a standalone unit that reports to chief executive Jason Moo.
