Customers of St Galler Kantonalbank can now carry out online banking via their smartphones. The firm says it is as user-friendly and secure as the desktop version.

The application needs to be enabled on a PC or Mac, followed by using a separate mobile banking password on the smartphone.

Transactions available include account transfers and payments, with instructions recorded and e-invoices received and executed; securities can be bought or sold.
