Tech, Outsourcing Solutions Provider Names Ex-Central Bank IT Leader As CIO

International Financial Data Services, a provider of
outsourcing and technology solutions to the investment,
retirement, insurance, and platform sector, has appointed Simon
Moorhead as chief information officer of its global business.
He will take on overall responsibility for the global strategic
development of the firm’s technology infrastructure and
operations across its locations in Asia-Pacific, Canada, and
Europe; he will be based in the UK and join the IFDS board of
directors, reporting to Simon Hudson-Lund, executive
chairman.
Moorhead previously worked at the Bank of England, where he was
chief information officer. During his time at the central bank,
he led the IT programme that helped create the Prudential
Regulation Authority in April last year. Previously, Moorhead
worked at Reuters, the global news and information service, in a
global IT role after more than a decade as a management
consultant for Ernst & Young and Cap Gemini. He began his career
at HSBC.
