UBS Wealth Management Makes Regional UK Hires

UBS Wealth Management has appointed a regional head for the north east, while hiring an executive director in Newcastle, WealthBriefing can confirm.

Aidan Dunstan spent the past 10 years at UBS as a senior client advisor and takes the former role, while Andrew Elliot joins in Newcastle as an executive director reporting to Dunstan.

Elliot has 22 years of industry experience and formerly worked at the wealth and investment management division of Barclays. In his new role he will concentrate on investment management and private banking clients, but will be continuing with his focus on charity clients as well as personal and pension portfolios, the firm told this publication.

Prior to Barclays, Elliot worked at Gerrard Vivian Gray in London, where he led investment management teams under the Old Mutual and then Barclays ownership of Gerrard Investment Management.

At the end of December, UBS appointed Stefan Reutter as head of wealth management in Russia, taking over the reins after predecessor Gregg Robins decided to step down to pursue other opportunities outside the firm. A week earlier, the bank named James Broderick as its new chief executive for the UK and Jersey.
