UK's Jupiter Reshuffles Fixed Income Teams As Current Boss Is Set To Retire

UK-based Jupiter Asset Management has brought together its fixed interest and multi-asset teams under the leadership of Miles Geldard.

Geldard has been with the firm since 2010 and manages the Jupiter Global Convertibles Sicav, the Jupiter Strategic Total Return Sicav and the Jupiter Strategic Reserve unit trust, supported by Lee Manzi and Joseph Chapman.

John Hamilton, who has headed fixed income at Jupiter since 1991, will leave later in the year to scale down his activities. Rhys Petheram, co-manager of the Jupiter Distribution Fund and alternate manager of the £234 million ($363 million) Jupiter Corporate Bond Fund, will become co-manager of the Jupiter Corporate Bond Fund, working alongside Hamilton until he leaves the company. Petheram joined the firm in 2006.

Jupiter said the decision to merge the teams with Geldard as chief reflects the increasing overlap between the strategies. The combined team has £2 billion in assets under management.
