London-based Unicorn Asset Management has promoted two members from its investment team to co-managers of the Unicorn UK Income fund and the Acorn Income fund.

London-based Unicorn Asset Management has promoted two members from its investment team to co-managers of the Unicorn UK Income fund and the Acorn Income fund.

Fraser Mackersie and Simon Moon will work alongside John McClure, Senior Fund Manager and Co-founder of Unicorn Asset Management.

Mackersie and Simon Moon have been members of the Unicorn investment team since joining the firm in 2008 and will continue to manage the £23 million (£37.8 million) Unicorn Free Spirit fund and the £49 million UK Smaller Companies funds.

The Unicorn UK Income Fund was ranked third out of 107 funds in the IMA UK Equity Income Sector for 2013 and was first in the sector over the three and five year time frames, according to Financial Express.
