UK Commodity Investment Firm to Expand Fund Range

Armajaro Asset Management, a commodities investment firm based in London, said it intends to launch a third commodity hedge fund.

Its existing funds are the Armajaro Commodities Fund and CC+ Fund. The new product, focusing on the sugar market, is to be rolled out in the third quarter of 2008, the firm said in a statement.

Known as the CZAR+ Fund, it will be launched in partnership with the Czarnikow Group, which is a provider of sugar market services. C Czarnikow Sugar Futures will act as sub-investment manager to the fund.

The investment strategy of the CZAR+ Fund will include directional, spread and arbitrage trades using exchange traded futures and options and OTC derivatives.
