UK Law Firm Adds Private Wealth Partner

A law firm with offices in London and Cardiff has added to its team advising international high net worth clients.

Gordon Dadds has appointed Iain Mair as a partner within its private wealth team.

Mair joins from Scotia Private Client Group in Miami, where he was director of international wealth structuring and worked with clients and their advisors in South and Central America and the Caribbean. He also advised clients from the former Soviet Union, Middle East and North Africa, and several other offshore jurisdictions.

Based in London, Mair advises ultra-high net worth individuals and family businesses on tax planning, succession planning for businesses, tax efficient investment into the UK, and offshore trusts and other wealth structuring vehicles.

“Private wealth has been a key area of expertise for the firm since its inception and Iain’s experience significantly bolsters our ability to advise international clients, particularly from the Americas,” said Adrian Biles, managing partner at Gordon Dadds.

“London continues to be a major centre for the international high net worth community and we have seen a significant rise in clients from the Americas in recent years. Iain’s arrival is an important step for Gordon Dadds’ wider personal team and for the firm more broadly.”
