Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Hogan Lovells, MetLife, Objectway

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

Hogan Lovells
Hogan Lovells has appointed finance and fintech partner Bryony Widdup to join its corporate and finance practice group, based in the London office.

An experienced banking and capital markets lawyer, Widdup advises funds, lending platforms, digital assets and blockchain-based offerings on their fundraising solutions.

With more than 15 years’ experience advising clients in the financial markets sector, Widdups has worked within a major European bank as well as in private practice, most recently as a partner at DLA Piper. Her practice focuses on finance for funds, a broad range of lending platforms (including blockchain-based offerings) and digital assets including token structuring and issuance.

Widdup also advises on sustainable finance and investment solutions, with a particular focus on advising the crypto and digital assets sector on its net zero transition.

MetLife
MetLife Investment Management, the institutional asset management business of MetLife, has named René Zeidan as a director in its institutional client group.

Zeidan will be responsible for institutional client strategy and for delivering investment solutions to clients in Europe. Based in Frankfurt, Zeidan will primarily focus on the German and Austrian markets.

The move expands MIM’s European presence, building on its recent authorisation by the Central Bank of Ireland to manage and distribute MIM’s investment capabilities across the European Economic Area.

Prior to joining MIM, Zeidan was a director at Allianz Global Investors where he was responsible for business development and client service efforts for European insurance companies. He was also a vice president and product specialist at MainFirst Asset Management.

Objectway
Objectway, the European banking, wealth and asset management software provider, has appointed Hassan Suffyan as managing director of Objectway for the UK region.

Suffyan brings more than 10 years’ wealth, and private banking experience to the role. Before Objectway, he was head of the wealth technology practice for Ernst & Young UK. Previously, he worked for Coutts Private Bank as a director in wealth and asset management delivery, as well as for other prominent wealth managers.
