Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Hogan Lovells, MetLife, Objectway

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

Hogan Lovells
has appointed finance and fintech partner Bryony Widdup to join
its corporate and finance practice group, based in the London
office.
An experienced banking and capital markets lawyer, Widdup advises
funds, lending platforms, digital assets and blockchain-based
offerings on their fundraising solutions.
With more than 15 years’ experience advising clients in the
financial markets sector, Widdups has worked within a major
European bank as well as in private practice, most recently as a
partner at DLA Piper. Her practice focuses on finance for funds,
a broad range of lending platforms (including blockchain-based
offerings) and digital assets including token structuring and
issuance.
Widdup also advises on sustainable finance and investment
solutions, with a particular focus on advising the crypto and
digital assets sector on its net zero transition.
MetLife
MetLife
Investment Management, the institutional asset management
business of MetLife, has named René Zeidan as a director in its
institutional client group.
Zeidan will be responsible for institutional client strategy and
for delivering investment solutions to clients in Europe. Based
in Frankfurt, Zeidan will primarily focus on the German and
Austrian markets.
The move expands MIM’s European presence, building on its recent
authorisation by the Central Bank of Ireland to manage and
distribute MIM’s investment capabilities across the European
Economic Area.
Prior to joining MIM, Zeidan was a director at Allianz Global
Investors where he was responsible for business development and
client service efforts for European insurance companies. He was
also a vice president and product specialist at MainFirst Asset
Management.
Objectway
Objectway, the
European banking, wealth and asset management software provider,
has appointed Hassan Suffyan as managing director of Objectway
for the UK region.
Suffyan brings more than 10 years’ wealth, and private banking
experience to the role. Before Objectway, he was head of the
wealth technology practice for Ernst & Young UK. Previously, he
worked for Coutts Private Bank as a director in wealth and asset
management delivery, as well as for other prominent wealth
managers.
